Joe Michalik
Chief Executive Officer
Joe Michalik is a well-regarded and respected business owner and developer in his local community. Joe started his career initially at a nationwide asset-based freight carrier moving freight and shipments and pursued a sales track with another company selling software for university campus partners. This is where Joe found his love and drive for sales.
At R&S, Joe leads a high-impact team as CEO and President over 12+ locations of 2 million square feet (and growing). With a passion for sales, Joe enjoys talking to customers, prospects, and finding a way to be a bridge from a pain point to a solution. Not one for sitting still, Joe enjoys learning any job and serving side by side with those in a truck, on a forklift, or behind a screen. He finds fulfillment and purpose in watching each team member bring their gifts to the table and use them for the good of the team, the company, and its various divisions.
Joe holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Tennessee and has served on multiple boards, nonprofit organizations, and industry specific associations. He has been involved in community events and business forums for the past 20 years.
Joe enjoys spending time with his busy family, serving in his local church, coaching his kids’ in soccer, basketball, and baseball and honing his flyfishing skills whenever he can. He’s also a mean pickleball player, a frequent cookie cake consumer, and a trusted disciple-maker of many men.
Landon Pyle
VP of Business Development
Landon Pyle has spent over 10 years in the warehousing, co-packing, and transportation industry in the Southeast. When he joined R&S in 2016, he started in sales and has helped grow the company in space, sales, and customers to more than 2 million square feet. With strong drive and work ethic, he has built key relationships and partnerships with people, the state, local government, and businesses to support the mission of R&S and the Kingdom. Alongside overseeing sales and marketing, he spends significant time scouting, maintaining, and exploring new properties and regions across the country.
What motivates Landon each morning is the adventure of unknown terrain and forming new relationships. While many prefer routine, he enjoys the feeling of being lost and the challenge of finding his way out. This passion has opened the door to many entrepreneurial pursuits within the company.
He graduated from Johnson University with a Bachelor’s Degree. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his active family, being involved in his local church, and running trails.
Matt McMurray
VP of Operations
Matt McMurray is a seasoned logistics professional with over 10 years of experience in the third-party logistics (3PL) industry. His career spans from launching start-up warehouse operations to driving operational excellence at mature distribution sites. After several years with a major 3PL provider, Matt joined R&S Logistics to make a greater impact within a growing, people-focused organization.
At R&S, Matt is passionate about building high-performing teams, developing leaders, and creating a culture of continuous improvement. His leadership philosophy centers on empowering individuals to become agents of positive change, both professionally and personally.
Matt holds an MBA from the University of Tennessee (2023) and has a deep curiosity for learning and innovation in logistics, supply chain management, and leadership development.
Outside of work, he enjoys staying active outdoors with his family and walking alongside men who seek to grow in their faith and follow Jesus — a pursuit that brings him true fulfillment.
Bobby Taylor
VP of Customer Relations
Bobby Taylor has spent over 15 years working across multiple areas of the supply chain — from managing trucking fleets to overseeing third-party manufacturing and supporting customers through complex operational challenges. He has experienced many different links of the supply chain firsthand. Bobby joined R&S Logistics in 2012 and continues to enjoy the challenge of helping customers grow, adapt, and improve through each stage of their business.
He loves working alongside the people at R&S and integrating the team directly with customers’ operations. He sees himself as an extension of each client’s supply chain department and believes in maximizing every opportunity by challenging both R&S and their customers to grow together.
Bobby graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2010 with a double major in Logistics and Marketing. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, walking with other men in their pursuit of Jesus, and cheering on the Vols.
